The Assisted Dying Bill: Stay Informed
On 14 January, the Conservative Christian Fellowship hosted a vital Prayer and Policy meeting on the proposed Assisted Dying / Assisted Suicide Bill - a moment that could shape the moral direction of our nation.
We were honoured to hear from Baroness Berridge, with expert input from Right to Life policy, as Rupert Evans set out serious concerns around safeguarding, moral responsibility, and the protection of the most vulnerable. These are not abstract issues—they affect real lives.
What makes this moment especially urgent is that the House of Lords is now considering over 1,000 proposed amendments. This level of scrutiny highlights both the complexity of the bill and the risks involved.
For Christians, prayer and awareness are essential. Many are still unaware of how far-reaching this legislation could be. We must pray for wisdom for legislators, for strong safeguards, and for a renewed commitment to the value and dignity of every human life.
Now is the time to **pay attention**, **pray intentionally**, and **engage thoughtfully**.
