About Medair
The aim of Medair is to relieve human suffering in disaster areas overseas. Since 1989, they’ve been helping families in crisis around the world—regardless of race, creed, or nationality–survive and recover with dignity. Medair bring hope to those who need it most through providing shelter, access to clean water, nutrition support and emergency healthcare. They are currently responding to humanitarian emergencies in 12 countries. these include: the second largest Ebola outbreak in history in DR Congo, severe malnutrition in South Sudan and Somalia, and refugee crises in the Middle East and Bangladesh. Medair relieve the suffering of some of the hardest-to-reach and most vulnerable. About Neil Casey
Neil Casey is the Director of Medair UK, the UK affiliate office of the international Christian humanitarian organisation Medair. In the five years he has been in this role he has led Medair’s response in the UK to major humanitarian crises such as the Nepal earthquakes in April 2015, Hurricane Matthew in Haiti in October 2016, the humanitarian crisis in Mosul in December 2016, the food crises in South Sudan and Somalia in May 2017 and more recently the Rohingya refugee displacement to Bangladesh and the earthquake and tsunami in Sulawesi. Prior to joining Medair UK he played a leading role in the establishment of the Core Humanitarian Standard which is now the benchmark against which agency's humanitarian practice is measured. He has first-hand experience of the Syrian refugee crisis having spent time with refugees in both Lebanon and Jordan.
